Well I live in a different world, so to speak. A country where 
"broadband" is near mythical and in reality only affordable to larger 
companies. Dial-up is THE only thing available for home access (unless 
you can afford VSAT at a ridicilous price). So I really need to get my 
modem working or use an external. But it annoys me to have to buy 
hardware when I have a perfectly working modem already.

What Linuxant are actually saying is that "HDA is not supported in this 
kernel". So any ideas are welcome.
