installing from a memory stick

hi all 

i am trying to install kubuntu from a memory stick following the
instructions at:

http://ftp.ubuntulinux.org/ubuntu/dists/breezy/main/installer-i386/current/doc/manual/en/ch04s03.html

Unfortunately booting fails since 'linuxrc' cannot be found. 
Where should 'linuxrc' should be?


here is my  syslinux.cfg:

   default vmlinuz
   append initrd=initrd.gz ramdisk_size=12000 root=/dev/rd/0 init=linuxrc rw
