Thanks for your reply. Knowing which one Konqueror uses helps a lot. 
I'll put symlinks everywhere else and from then on I'll only have to 
know that one spot.

I'm not using the firefox in /opt. Do you by any chance know the best 
way to uninstall it? Do you think I could just remove /opt/firefox?
