Dapper + latest KDE 3.5.5 = can't automount CDs to desktop

Hello,

after the latest KDE 3.5.5 update from Kubuntu's repository (I'm using
Dapper,) whenever I pop in a CD, it will no longer mount it on the
desktop. Where should I start looking to diagnose and fix this?
