query on how to setup floppy, mp3 ployer and internet at ubuntu or kubuntu linux

im grateful to terence simpson for his help on our lexmark config here at
  cebu city government. thanks a lot!
  
  i have another problem though when setting up the floppy in ubuntu on  how to mount it for ordinary user to use the floppy instead of the root  only account. i observed the cdrom and usb flash drives can be mounted  and unmounted immediately but not floppy. i can mount it successfully  at low level using root account. i wish it can be made auto and  available for all users on the fly.
  
  also, how to set up the computer for internet connection, what to configure. our 
  administrator is not so familiar with linux yet much more ubuntu nor kubuntu. i
  was able to give him the mac address of my pc, but we cannot tweak the
  other settings for it to be connected to the internet.
  
  we are also looking for help on which mp3 player to be installed in our ubuntu linux.
