I think the longer life cycle differentiates Dapper from previous
releases. It just has to be presented right: The 18 month cycle is
revised, starting with Dapper, which justifies a longer testing period.
Looks like there are big plans in store for Dapper, so it's better to
get it right the first time, instead of having first-time-with-linux
users download fixes one day after the release of the new version. If
bugs or "enhancement" issues are already known, they should be ironed
out before the release. You don't get a second chance for a first
impression!
