The problem is that you have the restricted modules installed and the native
driver is trying to load.  Do you have a Broadcom or Atheros based card?
That would help us in figuring out how to help further.

BTW:  You can do an lsmod | grep ath or lsmod | grep bc to find out if the
Atheros Madwifi module, or the Broadcom 43xx module is loading.  I had these
symptoms on a Dell D600 with a Broadcom 4300 based wireless NIC.
