Some CDs not mounting

I said I have the same problem, and it's and internal DVD double layer burner
too. I know it must be the hardware because when I boot into windows the same
discs still fail although on a friends computer they're fine. Now I've bought
a USB burner, cos it's too expensive to fix my laptop drive out of warranty
(>£200).
