SCIM and other language characters -- documentation?

I rebooted this morning and now i have an english keyboard
everything being set to fr_Fr though :)
Another problem i can't write hao anymore it accepts ni and ha but put 
me o alone and do another pictogramms ...
really weird ...
i am going away for few days...
will see that back home :)
