a most annoying difference between Ubuntu Gnome & Kubuntu

Well I be darned - it works! Found the package you mention at about the same 
time you mailed and installed.

A couple of extra username/password questions but that I can live with. Now we 
know, so to speak. GREAT. 

And I can tell you - this should be plastered over forums or wikified cause I 
am far from the only one who banged my head against the wall over this....
