trying to add KDE to installed ubuntu

Hi Dale,
I'm not sure exactly why that didnt work. Are you sure you were in a folder
where you have permittion to write when you do that wget?
However, instead of just installing KDE, i suggest you install the whole
kubuntu-desktop (which is a metapackage in the repository).
Try this:
"sudo apt-get install kubuntu-desktop" which will install KDE and all necessary
packages.
Then after doing that, try to do the upgrade to KDE 3.5.1 as you described in
your mail.
