Sorry, I am not the best as explanations. 

Startup an editor eg kate, on the first line type #!/bin/sh. This is real 
important and tells the system the file is a bash script.

on subsequent lines type the name(s) of the applications you want to 
autostart.

save the file as something like 'start_apps.sh' and put it in your 
~/.kde/autostart folder

right click the file icon, properties, permissions, advanced permissions and 
put a x in the box for user - exec

ok and ok it

should all work :)
