Folks,
I sent an earlier post and got some feed back, however, I am still not able to
boot the install disk from my SCSI only machine.
I created a boot floppy using the info in SBM.doc on the install CD for 5.04.
The resulting boot of that floppy fails to show any of the SCSI devices, only
HD1, HD2, Floppy and Default. NO CDROM (/dev/scd0), SD0 (/dev/sd0) or SD1
(/dev/sd1) that are defined on my system. I have DO NOT have any IDE devices.
I have sent an e-mail to the author at su_zhe at sina.com (address is from the home
page for SBM) and have had no response. Are there any other folks out there who
use SCSI only, DO NOT have access to any MS software and can get the install CD
to work?
I want to use Ununtu, but need to be able to boot the CD.
I am able to boot from a CD that contains RH 7.2 with no problem, just put the
CD in the drive and boot, up it comes.
Any ideas?
Regards,
Jay
