Hello Joseph, I'm afraid your message about the Screensaver problem has
probably been missed by many of those best able to help you with it.
This is because some of them likely read their mail in a threaded view.
Your message appears to have started as a reply to a message with a
subject of "Please don't top-post", and had the subject line
edited to say "Screensaver doesn't work on KDE 3.5".
I noticed this because the threaded index view that displays your message
inside the "Please don't top-post" thread which by now many are probably
deleting on sight at at thread level and may never even see your subject
line.
# PINE 4.64 MESSAGE INDEX <Incoming-Fo> KubuntUser Msg 195 in Thd 78

# 192 Feb 10 Liz Young (3291) . Please don't top-post
# 193 Feb 11 Robert Parker (3623) . |-Re: Please don't top-post

You see threaded mail clients use certain mail header lines that
identify the message id being replied to. For example, from pines full
header view of your message:
# Message-ID: <005701c62e75$b357b9c0$1b00000a at Santosha>
# References:
# <880dece00602090446v6f4d4ab4g2133a3ca3b124f95 at mail.gmail.com>
# <43EB55EB.9060400 at laspas.gr>
# <880dece00602092337r1ff97ec3w66e55f4318b68a58 at mail.gmail.com>
# <200602100715.41960.liz at kandew.com>
The line with the "Message-ID:" tag is the "Message-ID:" of your
message. The next 5 lines were all part of the "References:" header
line. incidentally the last ID in the list matches the "Message-ID:"
header in the message by "Liz Young" that it looks like you replied to:
Incidentally the only way I know of to avoid this is to start a new
message WITHOUT using reply. That way it starts it's own thread and
stands a better chance of reaching some one who understands the screen
saver...
Good luck!
Joe
