Since I can't stop Kscd from intermittently crashing tmpfs, is there a reasonable alternative cd player for kubuntu???

Thanks for the list, I don't know which of them is better at keyboard
controls so that I can let that dastardly rodent input device quietly
gather {more} dust.  But I suppose I'll soon find out.

If apt-get can install them it can also remove the ones I turn out not to
like, so I'll probably try them one at a time until I find one I like.

Mights well start with amaroK...
