If you want Adobe type one fonts to work in MS Office
in windows  you might consider installing the Adobe
Type Manager for windows.

This is descendant/relative of the OS/2 Adobe type
Manager for WinOS2 and works well and installs fonts
easily and well. On OS2 I used it with MS Office 4.3 
and with Office 95 under ODIN (a relative of wine) I
did at one time also have it installed in Win95
OSR2.5.(that's the last windows I bought)
We're a Graphics Shop  we have used thousands of Adobe
fonts in MS Office this way. (ATM)

If you want them in wine, I'd have to defer or do some
reading :-)  I Use CrossoverStandard there is a GUI
means to do that  in
Applications/Crossover/Configuration on Ubuntu and
similiar in the KDE menu.


As Far AS Reading MS office files in OO.org. I
recommend saving them as Rich Text files. These will
read quite true in formatting.

Again I'm not sure if wine is much different than
Crossover here, but We still use Office 97 on Kubuntu
and have no trouble with most of the fonts Ubuntu
uses.
