k3b cddb lookup errors

I can't remember the last time I used k3b to copy a CD, so I don't know when 
this problem started.

k3b gives connection errors when attempting freedb.org lookups.  kscd, 
disc-cover and koverartist have no problem with lookups.  I configured k3b 
with the same settings as koverartist and ran the search on the same disc 
within minutes.  koverartist properly found the data, k3b proceeded with 
a "connection error".  Is this a new bug with k3b?  Am I doing something 
wrong?
