write to floppy

I have been able to use kfloppy to format a floppy in dos mode so I can 
move a dos file to floppy for a dos box.
My problem seems that as a regular user, I can not write to floppy disk 
of the files I need for it. But in superuser mode I can do so just fine.

I just want to move dos files to my dos box which is a stand alone system.
Can anyone tell me if I am over looking something.
