About Konqueror :

In your / directory there is a file called @.hidden which contains 
directories to hide from view in Konqueror.  You can edit that 
file - but don't delete it.

For example : sudo mc  (to open Midnight Commander)
then F4 to edit and F2 to save.

But don't delete the file !
