new in kubuntu

Hi all,

I am a new user in Kubuntu coming from Mandriva after six years with it. So 
far, I think Kubuntu is fast and reliable, tough don't like so much the 
missing superuser and sudo commad. However, I have a questions about it that 
is:  how can I see in Konqueror the directory tree? I have only my home 
directory and media directory in it. Also I'd like to know if there is any 
work around to create a superuser.
