setting up HP LaserJet 9040 MFP

As a follow up I should have said that the above was on Kubuntu 6.06.
I'm at home now where I have just tried the equivalent on my Breezy
Badger version and everything seems to have gone ok -- but I don't
actually have a LaserJet 8040 sitting on my desk here :-)
