Like Marcus, I would advise emacs. But I wonder what you want to open with OOo. Is is OO documents or text files? Because OOo is a word processor and IMHO is definitely not the good choice for plain text. Otherwise, a 10Mb doc with plenty of images could normally be handled. -- Michel
