Konqueror -- View Profiles not working

For a good while now, the menu item "Save View Profiles..." under Settings has 
not been active.

In the past, I would use it to record my current selection of open tabs.  For 
several months now, I've had to add bookmarks to remember my pages.

Can anyone offer any insight into this?  Perhaps it is permission problems 
with certain ".kde" directories or files?
