internet problems

Hi 
I've installed dapper in a friend's computer. Everything is fine except 
internet access. I've I try to update via apt it won't work at first, but if 
I ping the mirror in my sourcestried to disable ipv6.list and retry 
everything's fine. I've tried to disable ipv6 via this info:

https://wiki.ubuntu.com/WebBrowsingSlowIPv6IPv4

and firefox works fine, but everything else as before (need to ping before to 
the archive to download).

Any ideas?
