I mean that I have set the "X-No Archive: yes" line under the:
Configure-Kontact->Posting News->X Headers menu but my recent usenet post has 
appeared without this line.

Yes my mistake I mistyped my question. I meant x no archive

There are so many things I like about Knode but I still fall back to agent 
because I am familiar with it.
