Hi there,

I am trying to setup my Laptop as a Wireless Access
Point. As a client to an access point it is working
perfectly fine. But when I try to make my laptop as an
access point it gives me an error as this

pd at pdlaptop:~$ sudo iwconfig eth1 mode Master
Password:
Error for wireless request "Set Mode" (8B06) :
SET failed on device eth1 ; Invalid argument.

My lspci output for the Network card is

0000:02:02.0 Network controller: Intel Corp.
PRO/Wireless 2200BG (rev 05)

My wireless driver loaded by default is (from lsmod)

ipw2200 66156 0

Has anyone come across any such problems when trying
to make their linux box as an AP. I am using Kubuntu
Hoary..

Thanks in advance

PD
