Camera, USB stick with Kubuntu

Point of clarification:  I use the excellent 'Adept' package manager 
frequently ... and have completed a couple of 'safe upgrades' from the local 
repository.  So far as being up-to-date ... it is about as uptodate as it can 
be.

The machine is an iMac ... with lots of USB ports!!   


Also it is Breezy-Badger!!
