Keyboard and USB Mouse using an iBook

Hi

I'm new with Linux, and Kubuntu was my first choice (and I 'm enjoying
it.. it sounds great). It is really wonderful what Synaptic (and
Adept) can do. But I have two troubles: my keyboard (the iBook's one)
and the USB mouse dosn't wok well. The keyboard isn't with the right
layout (and I tried the Input menu) and the USB mouse doesn't work
(but I can see it somewhere shown USB: Microsoft USB Optical Mouse
etc). The trackpad mouse works ok. Does anyone can help me ? Thanks a
lot .
