Changing the trash icon

Hi all,

I'm finally getting my desktop the way I want it. I'm using an icon theme that 
blends in well except for the Trash icon, so I want to change that particular 
icon only.

Unfortunately, I can't seem to find anywhere that tells me how - I've googled 
for an answer but none of the suggested solutions seem to work.

I've got the Trash icon on the panel rather than the desktop.

Any ideas?
