I agree with that. I don't like the file dialogs of gnome apps
especially the new
firefox's one. Gnome was my main desktop for years before switching to KDE
and the file dialogs usability always have been a problem for me.
(this is only a personal feeling, please don't flame)

I heard there was an attempt to port XUL to konqueror too.
QtMozilla with the KaXUL (1) project would be a good thing IMO.
