It seems that the problem is the  - -attach 0 option. 0 is invalid. That assumption is based on executing  Discover (plasma-discover) from my fully updated 16.04 system, where accessing Configure Software Sources in Discover works. There, the dialog pop-up for the password shows the Command as: /usr/bin/software-properties-kde  - -attach 111149060  - -dont-update
