There's usually two concurrent tracks of talks. So it's not quite so
much as FOSDEM but one still has to make a tough choice between two
interesting talks at times ;)

If you are certain you'll come the sooner the better I suppose.
Alternatively as soon as either registration opens or travel details
get put on the website (what with getting a recommendation for how to
best get to the venue - what airport and such).
> For what period?
If you want to attend talks arriving sometime on Friday 24th would be good.

That entirely depends on whether you want to make it a vacation then
you can arrive earlier and/or leave later. Most people usually travel
on the Fridays (except for KDE e.v. members who arrive a day early).

This isn't sorted yet I think. The akademy team would usually put up
hotel/hostel/whatever recommendation list up on the website and
possibly even get a special discount going with some place near the
venue. You need to organize/reserve the accommodation yourself though,
so if you want to stay in a special place you can certainly reserve
earlier. I would wait for some official recommendations first.
> Do I have to register somewhere?
Yes. Well, you should otherwise you'll get no name badge ;).
Registration once open will happen on the website. There's an
announcement when that happens I think.

Since the demise of real life ubuntu developer summits we have started
to have a Kubuntu Day at Akademy where we'd do what we would usually
have done during UDS - discuss Kubuntu matters. Someone could totally
propose a talk about something cool in Kubuntuland though (call for
papers not open yet) ;)
