no virtual workspaces in default settings

For what it's worth, huge vote from me to eliminate the virtual desktops.
 Ubuntu 12.04 still has a dedicated button for this.  It's cool when you're
trying to trick a boss or a professor that you are actually getting work
done, but I've never used this feature productively and I know very few
that do.  Besides the folder widget (having to switch the desktop to
"folder view", which is confusing in it's own right, and I've been told is
now default), the "pager" or "desktop switcher" or whatever it's called is
the first item I remove for myself and my family.
