It is probably most important that you first ask yourself how you want to help. 
There page from above can give you some guidance, but there is are so much 
more ways to help Kubuntu, one just has to find a way to apply ones knowledge 
and interests :)

If you are not yet familiar with IRC you might want to read [1] and then join 
the IRC channel #kubuntu-devel and ask for some nice person to help you along 
with joining the Kubuntu community.
