Kubuntu simple backup tool

Hi,
One way to get information about installed packages at any time in the past,
would be to parse the /var/log/apt/term.log* files. The history of all packages
installed and removed by apt-get is logged there. I don't know if there is a tool for that.
Also, there is a qt4 backup tool (an rsync frontend with advanced options)
in the repos called luckybackup: http://luckybackup.sourceforge.net/
Currently I'm using rsnapshot (and rdiff-backup before that), because
I need incremental backups. The luckybackup author told me that he would
want to support incremental backups in the future.

Well, I guess a default backup tool (at least for desktop use) would be really nice!

Cheers,
Yiannis

PS. On my system some text on the left labels is hidden. Screenshot:
