Dear Harald -
>From what I could gather in my search, you are the lead of the Kubuntu
Netbook team (please correct me if I am wrong). Anyway, I just wanted to
contact someone involved with this project and tell them how pleased I
am with Alpha 5. I have been a UNR user for about a year, but am unhappy
with the direction they are going with it. I have been trying out the
Kubuntu Netbook alphas since Alpha 3, and after testing Alpha 5 tonight
I have to say that your team has done some incredible work. This release
has come miles from Alpha 4. The interface is absolutely gorgeous and
absolutely everything worked from the first boot on my netbook (Eee PC
1000HA), and the release actually feels more like a beta than an alpha.
So, I just wanted to pass on my congratulations and thank you to you and
your team. Keep up the great work! I have been a lifelong GNOME user and
I think that Kubuntu Netbook Edition has finally converted me over to
KDE, which I never dreamed would ever happen. Again, thank you, thank
you, thank you for the marvelous job you all have done with this project
and I cannot wait for the final release!
Sincerely and with much gratitude,
John Montgomery
