Sounds great and I hope you receive this on time :)

Version 1:
I removed the unneeded capital I in 'it is optimized' and added a comma between
uses and there:

Version 2:

I slightly reworded it to remove uneeded words and in hopes of adding fluidity,
I might not have succeeded though, take it or leave it ;) I also added a blurb
on when the complete / polished KNE can be expected and specified that a netbook
wasn't a 9 or 10 inch display, but rather a miniature 'laptop' with said
display:

"This is Kubuntu Netbook Edition 9.10, this new Ubuntu variant's first release.
Built on the same KDE 4.3 base as Kubuntu, it is optimized for netbook systems
(miniature 'laptops' with a 9 or 10 inch display) with a minimum vertical screen
resolution of 576 pixels.  Kubuntu has worked with the Plasma Netbook developers
to deliver this technical preview version of KDE's forthcoming Plasma Netbook,
this release's basic 'desktop' environment.  While it will work for many uses,
there are still pieces of the full netbook experience missing and there is still
polishing left to do.  A complete and polished version of Kubuntu Netbook
Edition is anticipated with the arrival of Kubuntu Lucid Lynx in April 2010.
Both feedback and contributions are welcome."
