In fact, there appears to have been a commit to the intel driver just
today (or yesterday, depending on the timezone you live in :P)

So I suppose this will probably be an issue until the next upstream
release of the driver. Maybe the Ubuntu X people would know more about
these things? Xorg isn't really a Kubuntu specialty, although we do
know how to push things off towards them quite well. ;-)
