Thanks for the suggestions Joey.... Maybe I didn't explain it as well as I 
should.  On one laptop I copied over my ~/.kde directory from my laptop and 
on the other computer I didn't copy over the ~/.kde directory.  However I am 
having the same problems on both computers.
