Dear collegues,
I have investigated the subj and ran into seriuos trouble:
I have found the place in code where we can handle playback failure,
but things are not so simple. There is NO playback failure :(
I have tested this issue in several ways, such as: removed the
libxine1-ffmpeg package
and tried to open the same file from the feisty and gutsy livecds. And
got one constant
result: kaffeine runs, shows a black video area, moves very quickly the
progressbar
(even if video is really long) and gives no sound. So libxine DOES NOT
report any error to kaffeine :(
If there is someone familiar with libxine or just have some helpful
ideas, I will listen to advices with joy :)
It is my initial task in community development, and I'm afraid to fail
with such serious issue as libxine.
I'm ready to start digging it, but if it is not necessary I prefer to
avoid this.
Please advice me how to act.
Best regards,
Sergey Rudchenko
