Seems that KDE doesn't like our HAL setup (run without privilages).
Gnome uses a combination of HAL and fstab for listing devices so KDE
may need to be modified to do something similar.

Hmm, I'm sure it did last time I was near a floppy.  I'll take a look
next week when I have access to a floppy again.
