KDM Depends on Kubuntu-default-settings

I have a little problem... ;)

I would like to install KDM for login management.  I do not want to 
install the kubuntu-default-settings package.

KDM seems to be dependant on kubuntu-default-settings.  I filed a bug 
#12379 on the subject.

Should KDM be dependant on kubuntu-default-settings and am I the only 
person who wants when seperated...
