[Bug 1509334] Re: KDE/Plasma very slow to launch (Kubuntu 15.10)

Same problem, immediately after upgrading from Kubuntu 15.04 to Kubuntu 15.10, yesterday.
Problem is persistent and exists every time I logon.
Have tried (no effect, problem persists):
 - deleting panel and creating a new (default) panel instead.
 - deleting ~/.kde
 - sudo apt-get remove telepathy-*

This is _extremely_ annoying and I am contemplating either reinstalling
15.10 or simply going back to 15.04 ...
