$ polkit-auth --show-obtainable
com.ubuntu.devicedriver.install

$ polkit-auth --obtain org.freedesktop.packagekit.system-update
$ 

just returns a prompt with no output.

The Refresh command on Software Updates still returns "You don't have
the necessary privileges to perform this action."
