Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: kpackagekit
Right now in Kubuntu Karmic Alpha 2, KpackageKit presents a few
usability flaws in my opinion:
1 The "Action" images don't have a hover effect, making dificult for the
user to know that they can be pressed to change it status and make
something.
2 All the images are shown greyed out, the ones that identifies
installed packages should be shown in full color, and for the ones not
installed, maybe the best would be not showing the image at all. That
way it's really easy and fast to know whats installed and what not.
3 The image selected to represent the "Install" action is not the best
to reflect this, as it represents more a download. I think that it
should be changed for other that works better. In my opinion, the
previous +, - worked better as they are pretty easy to understand from
the very first time that the program is used.
