[Bug 326042] [NEW] kubuntu login screen on msi wind not maximized

installed kubuntu 8.10 on MSI Wind U100x. The login screen is not
maximized leaving garbled images on the left and right sides.

Login screen should be maximized to cover all part of the screen.
