I've adjusted this to be a more general bug for the problem in question,
so I think it's valid now. Removing the wontfix.
** Summary changed:
- Pressing start/windows key on its own should open K menu
+ There should be a more discoverable way to open kmenu from the keyboard
** Description changed:
- Kubuntu 8.4 Hardy Heron beta KDE 4
- all updates/upgrades
+ New users have no idea about alt-F1. Even experienced users can forget.
+ As an added bonus, alt-F1 doesn't actually open kmenu on my KDE 4.2.0.
- The start/windows key, when pressed on its own, should open the
- KDE/Gnome/DE main menu.
+ One way would be if the start/windows key, when pressed on its own,
+ opened the K menu.
** Changed in: kdebase-workspace (Ubuntu)
Status: Won't Fix => Confirmed
