Sorry guys, don't want to spoil the party but on my machine at least
nothing works, maybe I'm missing something though and maybe it's the
versions that are the problem.

Details:

Intrepid, KDE 4.2

Versions:

KDEBluetooth 1.03 intrepid1 ppa1
Bluez 4.28
Bluetooth 4.28
Obex-data-server 0.4.3
kdebase 4:4.2.0 intrepid1 ppa2
kdebase-workspace 4:4.2.0 intrepid1-ppa7

Error is still the same, no bluetooth icon on desktop and when running
the device-manager command manually, I still get the following:

$ /usr/bin/kbluetooth4-devicemanager
kbluetooth4-devicemanager(7880) Solid::Control::ManagerBasePrivate::loadBackend: Backend loaded:  "BlueZ"
