Here is a screenshot demonstrating the problem.
** Summary changed:
- Non-maximized windows are not redrawn properly when KDE4 taskbar tooltips are drawn over them
+ Window redrawing does not work properly with KDE4 taskbar tooltips.
** Description changed:
- On Kubuntu Jaunty, when a KDE taskbar tooltip is drawn over a non-
- maximized OpenOffice.org window, the last place in which a tooltip was
- drawn becomes transparent in the OpenOffice.org window, showing whatever
- is behind it. This does not happen with any other application that I
- have tested, and also does not happen if OO.o is maximized.
+ On Kubuntu Jaunty, when a KDE taskbar tooltip is drawn on the screen,
+ the last place in which a tooltip was drawn becomes transparent in any
+ non-maximized window, showing whatever is behind it. This does not
+ happen if the window is maximized. It happens in all applications I
+ have tried.

+ window, showing whatever is behind it. This bug only occurs, however, if
+ the tooltip was drawn onto an area of the screen where it does not cover
+ the window. If the tooltip covers any part of a window, then the
+ transparent blocks where the old tooltip was do not appear. Because of
+ this, maximized windows are not affected.
