[Bug 147314] [NEW] Kubuntu live cd fails to boot into x-windows on sony vaio VGN-FZ21M

Downloaded latest Kubuntu 7.10 Beta. Burned to dvd. DVD does boot, but gives memory allocation error. 
Continues, but later ends up at the shell. Both Suse live disc and Mandriva live disc do manage to boot into X-Windows.
The Sony Vaio VGN-FZ21M is brand new.
